In a time when the world to our eyes was very new, and the world in the eyes of its inhabitants was very old, a great dragon prowled the dales and soared the skies. The antling-humans living below it grew frightened of its might and intimidated by its mystery, although it seldom did damage to their crops and homes. It was a creature of the immortal strain, yet the humans found a way to end its life, piercing its heart as it flew overhead. As dragons never die but always live on in one form or another, the fragments its body and life-force that didn't scatter upon death transformed into two small brass dragons, Pulfraugh and Pacjaul, and fell to the earth. Legend has it that if both pieces are obtained and one given to your love, you will be tied together always.

This journal is dedicated to a dear friend lost some years ago. I intend to use it for writing and perhaps a bit more as well.
